Mardez is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. Originally from Clovis, California, three days after high school graduation he moved to Dallas, TX. He lived across the street from a popular blues bar, The Goat. Mario spent years there honing his chops before moving to Austin, TX to play professionally. Mario started as a guitarist for local soul singer and then formed an original group shortly after. His originals are heavily influenced by rock n roll, pop melodies, funk and Latin rhythms that create a unique blend of percussive dance beats, energetic bass lines, soulful vocals, and powerful guitar solos. He’s played hundreds of shows in the Southern, Western, and Eastern parts of the US along with multiple residencies in Austin. Mardez’s first single “Live on a Cloud” was released in 2019. The song was reviewed on indie music blogs and gained indie radio play regularly. He released his debut album titled Been There Before in 2021 with rave reviews from top music blogs and playlist curators. He’s been featured in Music Crowns, Mystic Sons, ihouseU, ROUGH, Rock Era Magazine, FAME Magazine, and FLEX music blog. In 2023 he started the Mardez Single Series releasing more singles. In February 2026, Mardez won airplay and was interviewed on 95.5 KLOS, Southern California’s Top Rock Station, for his songs Don’t Forget That and Everything Can Go Wrong. He's supported and shared the stage with The Wailers, ABC, Sweet, Gary Clark Jr., B-Side Players, Oingo Boingo, Player, Hells Belles, The Pat Benatar Experience, Bruno Mars Tribute, Tutu Jones, and Metalachi. Mardez’s Rock N Roll spirit reflects through his music and in every show he plays.
